Social and Environmental Medicine

Outline
We conduct studies on health protection and promotion in working populations, especially aiming to clarify mechanisms underlying the relations of working conditions or job characteristics to lifestyles or lifestyle diseases, psychosocial work stress or mental health problems, and musculoskeletal disorders, and to establish the measures for preventing those diseases. In addtion, we carry out studies on the health effects of environmental cadmium exposure.
