Urology

Outline
We provide advanced medical treatment for malignant tumors of the kidney, renal pelvis, ureter, bladder, and prostate. Brachytherapy of prostate cancer was done successfully at our department for the first time in Ishikawa prefecture, and we have treated more than 350 prostate cancer cases since then. In addition, we have performed 150 Robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RALP) and 30 Robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN). In 1975, we performed the first living kidney transplantation in Ishikawa, and we have done 255 living and 65 cadaveric kidney transplantations. To treat urinary tract stones, we have implemented the latest diagnostic and treatment methods, including extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL), transurethral ureterolithotripsy (TUL), and percutaneous nephrolithotripsy (PNL). All kinds of urological problems such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and urinary incontinence cases are diagnosed expediently and treated with surgery and/or medicine in our hospital.
