Otorhinolaryngology

Outline
The Department of Otorhinolaryngology was established in January, 1974, with Professor Koichi Yamashita (now Professor Emeritus at 色多多视频) as the first Chair of the Department. Professor Yamashita played an active role in contributing to the development of rhinology, as a pioneer of endoscopic sinus surgery in Japan. In April, 1997, Professor Koichi Tomoda became the second Chair of the Department and exerted influence on the development of surgical devices for endoscopic sinus surgery. Professor Takaki Miwa became the third Chair of the Department in May, 2009 and has started a very unique and novel outpatient service for olfactory and gustatory disorders. Our main research field is the clinical and basic research of olfaction and we are leading the field both nationally and internationally.
